Monster Hunter - Emperor Nodachi by Pentazer

Monster Hunter - Emperor Nodachi

Pentazer

So here's my character (and his foe) from the Monster Hunter: Anachronism tabletop campaign I'm running with Krytalking. Takes place in a new, uncharted land to the far east and deals with ascended monsters, turned hunters, the ancient civilization and all sorts of fun stuff. It's an adaptation of the 5e ruleset converted for Exalted which is what's driving the game.

The Emperor Nodachi is a viper tobi-kadachi, odogaron, kulve taroth elder dragon. Intelligent and cunning, it is a powerful leader that compels other monsters to organized forces, leading powerful beasts against the invading hunters. Many of the ascended monsters have the ability to "turn hunters" similar to a werewolf. My hunter is (not so?) lucky enough to get the bite, survive and get away with it, only to later find himself transformed into a turned hunter.

In this setting, turned hunters fall under the sway of the Emperor Nodachi, [REDACTED] or the [REDACTED] and while they remain sapient, are indoctrinated in ways that are similar to Mass Effect. As my hunter inadvertently is turned by the Emperor Nodachi himself, he's immune to the unnatural mental influence and in fact, his own presence is able to save other turned hunters from falling under the influence of the elder dragons and the [REDACTED], though his influence is much weaker and of shorter range than the Emperor Nodachi elder dragon.

He's a great sword user and can also rely on his monster weaponry such as his poison claws, poison barb-darts, poison fangs or his thermal breath.

Art by the wonderful DSW7, thanks again!
