Commission for Pintocat, from Inkbunny.

Characters: Zane, the mouse, and Sparky, the raccoon. Both from Pintocat.

I know that Sparky looks like Art, my raccoon, I couldn't help it.

Now, I want to talk about this picture:

A topic that I really like to deal, is Imagination (not exactly for that Sponge Bob's episode). All the worlds we can create with our mind, and the best of this is when we could share those thoughts and magical worlds with other people, with friends, with the world, and involve other guys with our own fantasy, It think this is a goal for many artists, even mine, as George Lucas could make a complete universe and invite people join on it; J.K. Rowling bring many fans off her fantasy. Those just to give examples.

What aforementioned people did is a dream for many of us, but also is incredible when we involved a friend, just a friend, a really special one, with our world.

My best example is my brother, my little one, we created an universe with our characters, the panda brothers, we shared that dream over and over again during our childhood, that was really special for me, I remember our talks that lasted hours, our drawings, our games, me being Parinton, him being Nemorio, and imagining friends that didn't exist (that now, those imaginary friends has turned into characters, that many of you know them), but while we were playing games about our own universe, those were special moments, incredible adventures, unforgettable times.

That's what I wanted to represent on this scene that Pintocat asked me to create with these two cute characters of him. That inocent part of our childhood that is very special for us, and molds us to be what we will be in the future.
The dragon is their imaginary friend, a shared one, and that world on the background is just one little part of their universe. Maybe they are just on the backyard of their house.

Watercolors.

Follow me on Facebook and Twitter, there I'll be sharing some sketches and pictures of the process.
