Those are Riku (right) and Nagare (left) during their lifetime^-^ Nagare's around 16 and Riku around 11 years old here*-*
Nagare was still able to see back than, because the accident, where he lost his eyesight happened around 2 years later.

They where living in the 18th century. Back then it was usual, to wear Kimonos that represent your Elements^^ That's why Riku wears a fire-like Kimono, and Nagare a water-like one^--^
