I sometimes think about the Legendary dogs and how if you think about it a simple mix-up of types could have made Growlithe/Arcanine an attempt to breed a poke-dog that looked like Raikou. There was a similar case in china breeding a dog breed to look like the Lion Dog. I can't remember off the top of my head which it was though.
