Foxaroo at Thirlmere photo #20

(Photo #19 didn't make the cut)

Myself in Partial fursuit, taken at the New South Wales Rail Transport Museum at Thirlmere.

Ooh, money! This is a paybus! Yes, one word not two, and don't bother looking for it on Wikipedia; you wont find it even though there's a model available for Microsoft Train Simulator. These vehicles were originally designed as light-duty passenger transport for branch lines. They didn't succeed in that role, but the NSW Railways found a use for them all the same; delivering cash wages to all the railway employees. In that role they became so successful that they were eventually replaced by a later, purpose-built class of paybus.

Very sadly the crew of one of these vehicles were killed in a botched-robbery when would-be thieves ambushed the train with dynamite. The culprits were never identified, and far as I recall they were not able to get the safe open, or it was empty or something.
