The battle for Whiterun probably won't really surface until I write a sequel for Arrow, Bequeath my Heart (which I have already dubbed, Shield, Protect my Heart). Knuckles wages war against Luke for marrying Sylv-Ia and not Lara-Su (angered, that a non-guardian has the throne of Whiterun when Sojourner no longer rules over it). When the dust settles, Sylv-Ia feels awful for the men and women who put their lives on the line for her to remain in power with Luke--thus wearing red in their memory. The evil looking horse, I guess, could represent blood/ashes in a horse form. ;P
