Most who know me IRL know that I nearly always wear this gold collar. It was originally part of a costume piece. But I wore it and instantly fell in love with it. It was decided to match our wedding rings so that might be why. Anyways, I asked Norv if he minded if I wore it all the time and he was okay with it.

That was about 6 years ago. Since that time, it's become much more meaningful. And not just in one manner. It means so much for me. Unfortunately, I didn't really look into how to take care of it as well as it should have. It's pretty much literally falling apart at this point. So we decided to get me a new everyday collar to replace it.

Replacing my collar gave me a mix of emotions. So we decided to do a small ceremony about it. Kinda like a birthday or something. Since Med-Night is my 'sona, she'll probably get a new collar too.

So here's a picture of her after just getting it put on.

From an artistic point of view, this is an interesting picture. Her face seems more like a mix of human and feral than I usual draw. Her ears are also in that new style I've been playing around with. I went with my detailed hair style of coloring (with hair styled similar to my own). And I've gone with a more detailed style of shading and highlights than typical. I also added in a small reddish tint to the whole picture to give it a deep, romantic feel.

Overall, I'm happy with the picture. And the collar as well. Here's to many more years!
