The Cerberus is a strange subtype of critter in the Manatear setting, able to manifest as any number of things, though a cactus dragon is probably on the rarer side. Night clearly failed his perception check & stood too close to this one, which has snatched him up to make him a part of it. While he would be able to influence its decisions, that’s probably not much he can do while rooted to the ground.
