Watercolor. Gift for my friend .
I got really into doing these small watercolors and this is one of the first ones I did. playing with my tendency to mix patterns and rendering. I probably could've gone further and one day I will do SW a nice piece that does go further. :D
SW has been one of the artists I've admired for years and is one of the people who inspired me to start trying to draw seriously, which ended up my hopeful career path. So infinite thanks there, SW! And she's super nice, and she also has iconography-laden animal-people characters, which is something I both love and do! The result is that you may be seeing SW's characters in my serious work from time to time. ;3

Oh gosh ;_____: You just made me melt…. thank you so much for all those kind words. They mean more to me than you could imagine. I've always been flattered that you would see so much in my characters. I've admired your work and the iconography you laden in yours, it's so filled with meaning and hidden messages. And you have always been so kind and giving and wonderful to me. Thank you for your kindness and the gifts you have made me over the years. This one is very special to me, for obvious reasons. Gravity actually reaching out to SW is rare, but it happens from time to time, and for you to capture one of those moments is a comforting thing indeed. And thinking back to when you drew this and the frame of mind I was in then, this holds that much more meaning. To know you took the time to make this, to lift me up when I was down in every way you knew how… thank you. So much love. <3
