Draco Loricatus Nocturnus

Nashoba Hostina

((Sorry about the re-upload. I dun derped it up, folks.))

Excerpt from Seamus’s Journal:
… Dragons are both extremely adaptable and genetically diverse, which allows for seemingly endless species to crop up. Naturally, some species are nocturnal, which leads to breeds that either have diminished eyesight or lack eyes entirely, but have astonishingly good hearing and/or smell, or those with large eyes, to better see In low light conditions with. This can be a problem for some species, because an eye is extremely vulnerable. A few species have developed hard, transparent plates to cover their eyes like those of snakes, giving them an eerie, unblinking stare, while others, like this example of Draco Loricatus Nocturnus rely mostly on their protruding, heavily armored brow to help shield their eyes. However, such species are often particularly fierce as well, meaning that getting close enough to damage its eyes would be difficult indeed.

No citations are provided here because I made it all made up! As always, Italics indicate that my cryptozoologist character Seamus is talking.

So, I have a magic blue colored pencil. In the original, the blue is much more subtle, so, I was surprised when I saw the electric blue popping up when I scanned the thing, especially along the underside of the lower scales. So, I figured it was my scanner eating my artwork as usual (because it hates me) and decided to just photograph it instead. My camera does the same thing. So, just FYI, in the original, the blue is not as intense. But you know… it looks pretty good this way too.
