Then something came over the cruiser's radio that got the attention of Kassa's family real quick.

"17-C to Base. Requesting permission to fire on UFO, Sir. Over", they heard.

"I didn't like the sound of that", said Jemu.

It was followed by, "Base to 17-C. I have to secure permission from HQ. I'll have an answer for you in about a minute. Over."

The extraterrestrial family wasn't laughing after that. Neither was Nico and Pancho, who didn't fully understand what was going on, but could sense from the others something wasn't right.

Samia told Jemu, "We need to get out of here now, before we end up in an Area 51 or something". She said it in Niyon as not to alarm Nico and Pancho.

"What's happening?", Nico asked Kassa.

"They want to fire on us", Kassa told Nico.

"It don't make sense", said Pancho. "How will a fire stay on this cruiser at the speed we're going?"

"That's not what it means, sweetie", Samia told Pancho.

"It means they want to blow us up", Jemu added. "But we're about to leave them far behind anyway".
