32 years ago today the world lost a great musician. After overcoming many personal struggles and working hard to finally get his life on track, John Lennon had his life taken from him by a deranged man with a gun.

Just wanted to pay tribute to one of my favorite musicians on this day. Drawing is based on this photo.

I actually started work on this about a year ago for the same reason, but I got distracted and never finished it, and by the time I got back to it it was no longer relevant. So I've had some basically-complete line work sitting on my computer, and later a DVD backup, for about a year. Since December 8th rolled around again, I decided to spend the evening listening to John's music and finish the drawing.

First one I've done with a legitimate background, too. I think it came out well.
