A personal work that took a lot longer than intended, mainly because I had to completely redo the background, the background colors, and the background shading since it was....no. So I spent extra time actually using perspective perimeters and the like to try and get a better background going. Interiors, especially large-scale architecture, are a definite weak point of mine...soo bear with me on the less-than comprehensive interior setting, ahahahaha.

As a better explanation of this work, it has to do with a past sort of encounter within both of these characters' backstories. Galda ended up killing Ivan's older brother in a all-out brawl between her and the guard, and Ivan thought he'd killed Galda shortly after (by inflicting a few deep sword wounds and dumping her into a well in the dead of winter), but Galda's magic does enable her to be much harder to kill than a normal person. Ivan has a personal vendetta against Galda, who pretty much tears him down concerning a revenge-based sense of justice that he shouldn't believe in so heartedly, considering the nature of war, etc....that the world is not so black and white sort of deal. In this case, Ivan still tries to take her out.
