Lord Balrog's original form. He was once a man known as Lycaon. Lycaon was Queen Serenity's brother (and thus Sailor Moon's uncle). Owner and creator of his own version of the Illusionary Silver Crystal, his thirst for power eventually turned him into a beast that would devour Sailor Senshi from across the universe.

Name: The Devourer of Stars, also known as the Living Black Hole, Hellhound of the Cosmos, Senshikiller, The Monster/Creature. Formely known as King Lycaon and known as Lord Balrog in the present era on Earth.

The Devourer is a large, muscular, wolf-like creature covered in black fur which contrasted Queen Serenity's silver hair. Red veins are visible from places where his fur is shorter. He has muscular limbs that end in gray claws sharp enough to render diamonds into mincemeat. He has a large bushy tail. His eyes are purple, with ominous red pupils. Just like his sister and his niece, the Devourer of Stars also has a gold crescent moon mark on his forehead.
His human form is very similar in looks to the popular depictions of Jesus Christ. He wore a male version of Queen Serenity's dress, which was black. He also had fairy-like wings like Queen Serenity, which he lost when he transformed into a werewolf for the first time.

Description: During his time as co-ruler of the moon kingdom, Lycaon was an arrogant, despot and a harsh person unlike Queen Serenity, who was a patient, kind and caring ruler to her people. Lycaon always saw his sister with disgust and disrespect. He thought that she couldn't rule over the Moon kingdom properly, according to him. His idea of ruling properly was enslaving the Lunarians, and then everyone else in the Solar System, instilling fear upon his subjects and making sure everyone adored him like a god. He saw his fellow lunarians as servants who must follow his every wim or face the consequences, everyone across the Solar System in the same manner as the lunarians, and saw the earthlings as nothing more than primates that needed to be enslaved.
King Lycaon's thirst for power became to great and as a result, he was cursed by the Silver Crystal. He became a monster with the likeness of a wolf that desired to govern all. His transformation wasn't just physical, he also began to think like a beast, yearning to kill Queen Serenity and lap up her blood. After learning how to control his new animalistic form and instincts however, King Lycaon/the Devourer of Stars became a sadistic, insane, power-hungry monster that desired to become the master of the universe.

Origins: King Lycaon was born many millenia ago to the then rulers of the Moon Kingdom, one year before Queen Serenity would be born herself. As childrien, Lycaon and Serenity would always bicker, like siblings usually do. Most of the time however, they enjoyed each other's company and spended hours playing and messing around with the Moon Kingdom nobility. In company of their caretakers, the moon siblings would sometimes go down to Earth to play with the ice age animals and the still-developing early humans. As they grew, the time they would have to assume their roles as the Moon Kingdom's rulers arrived. Lycaon dreamed of making the Moon Kingdom the greatest empire in the galaxy.
And so, the Moon Kingdom became the most prospherous empire in the milky way galaxy, allying with the rest of the kingdoms of the planets in the Solar System. Lycaon and Serenity were happy with the type of kingdom they were ruling. Unfortunately, power began to rot Lycaon's mind. He began to propose to his sister to give her her power she had over the Moon Kingdom to him, thus becoming the supreme ruler of the Moon Kingdom. Serenity obviously turned down his offer, igniting Lycaon's hate towards Queen Serenity. He saw her as a weak whore who wouldn't have been able to rule the Moon Kingdom if it wasn't for his assistance. He though that only he had the guts to rule the Moon Kingdom with an iron fist. King Lycaon eventually snapped and decided to take Queen Serenity's share of the kingdom by force. He would have killed his sister if it wasn't for her Moon Wand. With help from the moon wand, Queen Serenity was able to get King Lycaon off her.
The blast from the moon wand caused yet another effect on King Lycaon. The Silver Crystal had cursed his body with a horrifying transformation, it was manifesting Lycaon's thirst for power on the outside so that everyone can see. He had been transformed into a beast with the likeness of a mighty wolf. As soon as he realized what had happened to his body, King Lycaon then viciously charged at Serenity, with the intent to murder her and lap up her blood. However, he couldn't get near Queen Serenity because the light emanating from the Illusionary Silver Crystal was hurting him. A weakness that his descendants would also have.
That monstrous werewolf, underneath its furry, fanged visage, was still King Lycaon and thus, Queen Serenity couldn't bear kill her brother. She instead banished him to Planet X, the intergalactic prison where the Moon Kingdom would send their most dangerous criminals to, theorizing that Lycaon would at least be kept busy by killing all of Planet X's prisoners including the new ones that would be sent from time to time.
During his time on Planet X, Lycaon learned to control his new form and managed to turn his curse into a blessing. As a result, he became much more powerful than he ever dreamed of becoming. However, he still wasn't invincible and so, he created his own version of the Illusionary Silver Crystal, the Illusionary Obsidian Crystal which would eventually also become his star seed. During this period of time, Lycaon also discovered that he could aslo turn others into beasts like himself, either by biting them or dark magic. He then turned the other prisoners of Planet X into the first werewolves, and sent them off to other planets to spread death and chaos in his name. Lycaon himself proceded to return back to the Moon Kingdom to finish his unresolved business when Sailor Chaos attacked the universe. Seeing as he was no match against this new villain, King Lycaon decided to wait until the Sailor Wars were over to attack after anyone that could stop him was exausted from fighting Sailor Chaos. During the time being, he would continue training in order to increase his power even more.
King Lycaon saw and heard stories of the sailor soldiers, female warriors famous for their great powers and their revealing schoolgirl-like outfits. Lycaon wearned desperarely to be like them, to possess their powers, to be a sailor senshi himself. And so, he engaged in excrutiating experiments to try to become a sailor senshi. One of these experiments aparently worked and Lycaon gained the ability to absorb the powers and the sailor crystal of any senshi by eating them. Any sailor soldier that got devoured by Lycaon could not be brought back to life, since their star seed became a part of Lycaon's. Only by destroying him will a sailor senshi be able to reincarnate once again.
After the sailor wars had ended, Lycaon, who now called himself the Devourer of Stars, returned to the Moon Kingdom. Thanks to the obsidian crystal, Lycaon was unaffected by the silver crystal and the moon wand. He turned the entire into a burning hell in a matter of hours, killing anyone who oppossed him. Queen Serenity however, was kept alive so that she would see his brother's acension. The Devourer of Stars made the moon his base of operations, where he would investigate which senshi to attack next. His first victims where the sailors of the NGC 1300 galaxy. Tried as they might, these valiant sailor soldiers couldn't stop the monster from eating them. After having devoured his first sailors, the Devourer of Stars decided to not just become the strongest sailor soldier, with his new powers he could become the master of the universe.
Tales of a monstrous creature of doom that ate sailor soldiers spread like wildfire. Many alien civilizations sent their fleets to try to combat the Devourer, but also met their end at the Devourer's claws. Entire planets were being wiped out at an alarming rate. The Devourer of Stars also created even more werewolves and powerful monsters that served him as his "false prophets" spreading even more death and destruction in his name. There were less and less sailor senshi across the cosmos, eventually leaving Sailor Galaxia and the Senshi of the Zodiac the remaining sailors.
The Devourer of Stars would soon accomplish his goal, and in order to complete it, he had to eat Sailor Galaxia and the Senshi of the Zodiac. Having heard of Sailor Galaxia's power, her battle against Sailor Chaos and many of her other feats, he challenged her to a duel by destroying galaxies in order to assure her assistance. Sailor Galaxia arrived by herself, fearing the safety of her fellow remaining senshi, and proceded to battle the monster in a duel that would have caused another big bang if it had continued longer than it should had. During the fight, Sailor Galaxia tried to take back the Devourer's stolen Sailor Crystals Sailor Galaxia then attempted to take the Devourer's sailor crystals. As soon as he felt his stolen powers being taken away, the Devourer of Stars fired a great beam of energy made from the crystals at Galaxia, harming her and destroying her sailor suit. After surviving a point-blank explosion caused by Galaxia, the Devourer then ripped her into two, to then suck in her instestines like spaghetti. He not only absorbed Sailor Galaxia's crystal but also absorbed Sailor Chaos's as well.
The Devourer of Stars was now closer to acomplishing his goals. Due to this, the Senshi of the Zodiac took matters into their own hands. They traveled to the moon while the Devourer was away on another part of the universe, and freed Queen Serenity. Sensing that his base was being attacked, the Devourer of Stars teleported back to the moon to find the aforementioned sailors amongst his now-destroyed base. Challenging them to a battle, the Devourer of Stars tried to blast Queen Serenity to smitheriens, but thanks to the power of the Silver crystal, Queen Serenity and the senshi of the zodiac survived the Devourer's blasts. Queen Serenity and the Senshi of the Zodiac gave part of their energy to the silver crystal, making it even stronger than it was when King Lycaon first transformed into the Devourer of Stars. Queen Serenity, now intentioned to kill her brother, shot a great beam of light from the Silver Crystal. Unfortunately, the Devourer had now become so powerful to the point where not even the Illusionary Silver Crystal may be able to destroy him. The most Serenity and co. could do however was seal the Devourer within the moon. And they did that, sealed the Devourer of Stars inside a statue hidden in the deepest, darkest cave in the moon. After the hard ordeal, Queen Serenity revived everyone had been slayed by the Devourer of Stars, well almost everyone since all the Sailor Soldiers that were eaten by the monster were now a part of him, and to return them back to life, the Devourer had to be destroyed first.
As time passed and the universe returned to its normal state , people from the Moon Kingdom and elsewere had forgotten about the Devourer of Stars and the prophecy who said this monster would break free from its prison if the Silver Crystal, which gave power to the containment seal that trapped the Devourer of Stars, were to be destroyed. Queen Serenity had a daughter, her name was Princess Serenity, who in another timeline would have become the legendary warrior of love and justice Sailor Moon. Princess Serenity was in love with a human known as Edmynion, who was the prince of the kingdom of Earth. He was also in love with the moon princess, and were planing on getting married. A soreceress named Beryl, who wanted Endymion for herself, became corrupted by Queen Metalia, a demon from the sun, transforming Beryl into a redhaired, pointy-eared, purple dress wearing femme fatale. Queen Beryl, as she began to call herself, then lead a full-scale attack on the moon with an inmmense army made up of human soldiers and youma monsters, right on the day that Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion would get married.
The Moon Kingdom soldiers did their best to fend off the invaders but eventually were overwhelmed by the Dark Kingdom, until the guardian senshi arrived. Sailor Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter managed to destroy a large portion of the Dark Kingdom's army. They eventually encountered Queen Metalia, who fired a damaging bolt of lightning at the sailor guardians. During the invasion, Queen Beryl somehow managed to take the Illusionary Silver Crystal away from Queen Serenity, and destroyed it, negating the queen the chance to send her daughter, Prince Endymion, the guardian senshi, and Luna and Artemis to the present era of Earth. The guardian senshi were subdued by Queen Metalia, while Queen Beryl tortured both Queen and Princess Serenity. Having done her part of the deal, Queen Metalia then granted Beryl her wish. In an instant, Prince Endymion fell in love with Queen Beryl, bringing Princess Serenity to tears. Beryl and Endymion were about to have sexual intercourse when the Devourer of Stars bursted from the ground. Everyone became awestruck and watched as the Devourer of Stars arose from the ground in a flashing display of lights, ready to terrorize the universe once again. The Dark Kingdom made their way for the Devourer, who had his sights on the person who had sealed him away many years ago. The obviously hurt Guardian Senshi however, confronted the hellhound of the cosmos, not knowing that their new opponent was responsible for the genocide of the sailor soldiers long ago. The Devourer simply shrug off all the guardian senshis' attacks and then ate them all alive midbattle. He then destroyed all of the moon kingdom soldiers in seconds before confronting Queen Serenity. He then saw Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion with Queen Beryl. He became infuriated at the though of the princess, a lunarian, his own niece, having intermingled with a hairless ape. Right at the moment when Princess Serenity was about to be killed, something made Endymion snap out of his trance momentarely, and rushed at the Devourer. The Devourer had sensed that Prince Endymion also had a sailor crystal, much more powerful than any of the male senshi he had come across. He then ate Prince Endymion and oblirerated Princess Serenity. With her family and subjects dead, and her kingdom in ruins, Queen Serenity snapped and transformed into her senshi form, ready to destroy her brother once and for all. (more coming soon)

The Devourer has all of the Sailor Senshi's special attacks at its disposal. They can become charged up with its own energy, making them more powerful than when performed by the original Sailor Soldier to which it belonged to.
