So, yeah, I'm a huge huge huge fan of Stan Sakai's Usagi Yojimbo, and, I knew I was going to meet Stan again at Comic-Con, one year. On Preview night, I gave him the 11x14 pencil lineart for this piece, and on Friday he got the finished color version. As happy as he was with the pencil piece, he totally loved the color version, and came out from behind his table to get his picture with me. I know I love how it came out, and as similar as it is to my "Sakai Jironato" piece, I still enjoy how I was able to blend both mine and Stan's styles to make his character come out in this one.
