The beginnings of this sketch has been sitting sadly in my sketchbook for about a year now.

And also because I need more excuses to draw wings.

I've been playing with the idea of giving my raptors crest feathers; I updated Cinnabar with feathers earlier, but I didn't like how I did the face, so I've re-done it, following in other paleoartists' footsteps a bit.

The headdresses were inspired by the crests of the harpy eagle and the secretary bird, and the tail feathers of the marvelous spatuletail humming bird and the Cuban trogon. I also referenced some eagle tongues.
