Did you know that Scar’s death was a bit different originally?

Well, thing is that, unlike the scene we see in the movie where the Hyenas maul him, Simba does rescue Scar before he falls from the cliff and to the flames below but, as sly as he is, Scar takes advantage of this and throws Simba surely to his dead, Simba does survive though, he is the protagonist after all lol. Believing that his nephew is dead, Scar laughs manically without noticing that flames were closing by until he’s fully engulfed by them, being burned to death.

You can see the storyboard of this scene here. I’ve read that some people think this is even worst than what we got but honestly, both are equally bad xD

Anyway, onto the pic, it’s been a while since the last time I drew Scar, last pic I posted of him was this one. When I found out that this was intended to be in the film I wondered how it could look in the movie’s style, and decided to picture no other than the scene where Scar laughs maniacally at the thought of killing Simba, I mean this one. It was very fun to draw it I must say, I’ve never tried to redraw based on a storyboard/deleted scene, might do it again if I get the chance, I already have something in mind, not from TLK but another Disney movie, a scene that I’ve always thought that shouldn’t have been deleted because it’d benefit the film in many ways.

Even though the soundtrack of the original movie (Also the one used in the video above) works pretty good for this deleted scene, I’d like to suggest another soundtrack that would fit this scene perfectly, from another Disney movie, an all-time favorite, so I’ll leave it here, starting 3:00 as I put it x3
