I was trying to mix highly tailored, fitted items like the vest with loosely tailored, billowy things like the shirt.
Still kind of like the end result, even if it's a bit business piratey.

Very good eye! Yes, they're actually inspired by King of Fighters. Specifically, the shirt/tailored vest combo reminded me of King in her 96 and Millennium Fight appearances. She had fingerless gloves, and I went with a similar fingerless driving glove kind of look.

Thank you! It's one of my favorites as well, and I've never been sure why, because I didn't think the design was very effective when I looked at it. I just knew I wanted it to be one of the first images I put up here today.

I think it might have more to do with the face. As cool as the clothes are, the serenity of his face is really pleasant :3

Snazzy! I think you did well. The gloves though... were they inspired by a fighting game like umm, King of Fighters would it be? I know I've seen gloves like that before on one of those. Or maybe just a rock/pop star? Hehe.
