Honestly, it seemed like a simple enough case. After being given a tip on a string of private bank account hackings and a variety of disappearances having been linked to a strange bit of chain-mail, Katya was astonished and delighted to find that same sort email sitting casually in her mailbox.

"BUY NOW! DOWNGRADE YOUR TROUBLES BY UPGRADING YOUR SYSTEM!

DON'T WORRY, DON'T THINK, ACT FAST!

P3.NNY@PEnny.PenNy !"

She'd made sure, through a mutual friend who was considerably more talented at computers than she was, to set up a brand new computer for the sole purpose of downloading and containing whatever bit of malicious software this little bit of spam contained.

No matter whomever...or whatever was spiriting these people away without a care in the world, she'd locate them, and she'd bring them to justice, or her name wasn't Katya Harding, Private Detective!

...Of course, the second she 'clicked here', everything went to hell.

Her screen turned purple, the best color. And the most delightful face appeared on her screen, Penny! Penny, Penny, Penny!

Silly Katya shouldn't worry about donating her size to Penny, it goes better on her anyway! She'd unclog the data stream, help load all her webpages (with Penny!), and send this message on to everyone she knew!
