They were Children of Small Yeti, over one hundred years ago.

One was a daydreamer, a wanderer, an adventurer. Her name was Ailaka.

The other was resolute, a voice of reason, a reliable leader. Her name was Yura. She would tail her trusted friend Ailaka as she trod upon her strange adventures. Among the glaciers, through the snow, the outskirts of the encroaching cities by the sea. "Lilaka" was a name she would tease Ailaka with, referring to the scented blooms of lilac that would grow south of the tundra, in warmer lands that Ailaka sought to wander. Just a tease, however: Yura would see that Ailaka would not attempt to cross the southern sea. Too dangerous for a young, silly elf.

But Yura would not always be there to watch over Ailaka. These were simpler times, in the tundra. Two elvish children now, laughing in the snow.

One hundred years later, however...
