Wasted Dream (critique requested)

Meora Hedva

When dreams become nightmares.
Even Unicorns are stained.

I think I have to explain it, really.
Unicorns are an huge symbol for me, they represent always the dream and the fact that when you stop to dream, they die, as you.

Medium : Coffee/Pigments/Inks

FAQ : What is O Ka-Fée ?

O Ka-Fée is the term concerning all my paintings done with coffee. It concerns the way of painting and of obtaining textures with coffee. It's about projections of coffee, which once in stains on the sheet, undergo injections of pigments. (Powder, colorex, watercolor.)

Textures realized by coffee by drying (more or less sweetened) are unique, they are more interesting than those realized with water.
The coffee is a rather complex medium has to master, it's necessary to know its reactions to be able to manipulate it with pigments, we learn it every day.

O Ka-Fée also concern my graphic style and the whole universe which gets free of it. :)

Thats the best coffee painting I´ve seen so far!
I love the contrast between the unicorns body and the blood red, too!

I will think of this when I have some coffee left to draw! 8D finally a good way to use it!

Gosh, I love this work so much. The reds are so well placed, creating a dramatic, slightly disturbing look as I believe you've tried to express. Detailed in all the right places, as you usually do, my eyes travel from the mane to the beautifully stylized horn, to the lower part of the painting.
Definitely one of my favorites done by you!

Very lovely! I'm quite fond of the way that horn seems to just wither away. All the arcs and curves throughout this (the neck, mane, etc) are so well placed, especially in conjunction with the harsh rigidness of the red. Your painting technique is excellent!

I think this is my favourite one of all I've seen so far!

Oh my god this is gorgeous!

Ahh I just love the red and how the color just drapes over the character and off it's horn. It looks weighted or airy, and goes back and forth between the two for me.
