JWard67 got two more steps to this Shantae age regression sequence. This time also adding context, which you can read in the story below. And the set is not even done yet.

After obtaining the restored relic from Uncle Mimic, Shantae ventures off to see if the now functional pocket watch would let her explore the depths of the temple. The watch, hooked onto Shantae’s hip, glows in the presence of the temple and winds from 3:52 to 9:00. The mechanisms inside the temple respond to the watch and unlock the door for Shantae. While unsure of why the watch reacted the way it did, she can now enter this ancient dungeon and uncover whatever mysteries lie inside.

Making her way down the dim-lit depths, Shantae passes through some locked chambers that she’ll eventually unlock later and enters a door that’s already opened. Upon entering, she finds some worn out furniture, some glyphs strewn across the floor, and a hole too small to crawl through at her size.

There were also some strange runes embedded on the walls . They read: “To con*inue, one ust f*rs step back t* move forw*rd, reced* to p*ogre*s, shrink to gr*w. R*l** ** y*** st y, *ur *i*e o pe in**n*e, *nd rtu* fr*m e ** r*r*sh** ** nli**ne.” Most of the runes appear to have weathered out over time, but Shantae seems to understand the first part: Transform into a monkey so she can enter the hole. Mere child’s play for a half genie like herself!
