Professor Regina Strelitzia, has two Ph.D's: One in Poke-Genealogy, and the other, Mineralogy; specializing in evolution stones. Her career path was born from her passion for Pokemon Breeding, fixating on the sheer malleability of their genetic structure. Although her intent was to teach, and guide fledgling breeders through proper Pokemon husbandry. Her curiosity lead her to dapple with "strange stones" she had conjured, after taking a trip down memory lane, with her father's scientific footprints paving the way.
After wowing her peers at Celadon University, she now frontiers "Project Gattakite"; A process which results in viable fusions of Pokemon DNA. Her exact methods are largely coveted, but until perfected, she withholds the information in fear of it's potential abuse. For now, she works with volunteers, in a small lab outside of Fortree city*, to understand and cultivate the strange new discoveries she's overturning with each successful fusion.

• Strelitzia's Lab is separate from the Weather institute on route 119. Her lab is a distant branch from professor Rowan's department (though she doesn't get nearly the same amount of funding).
