Nimbus got new digs. by Mazz

Nimbus got new digs.

Mazz

Nimbus got an upgrade, I converted an old rat cage I was given into a larger budgie cage. She was unsure what to think at first than she went and sat on her favorite perch next to her favorite toy.
No worries about the plant; that vine plant is being trained to flow away from her cage so she won't be able to chew on it.

She needs more toys now.

        BUH I have a huge soft spot for rescue babies. She's so pretty, I never saw a parakeet with cloudy splotches before.

          Someone once told me her "type" but I cannot remember it anymore, I could go look it up in the forum on my intro topic but that causes effort. She's a decently rare one.
          http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11130359/ That silver in her eyes are "baby eyes" it's what juveniles have but she will have them her whole life due to her type.
          http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11445014/ Her color is sky blue, this picture is a little dark due to the lighting in my bathroom.

          All her wing tips and tail are white. She looks amazing, how anyone could have left her in Colorado in the cold and not claim her is beyond me. She was then in a rescue for a year unhappy then I took her in.
          I'm hesitant on getting her a cage mate, she lived in the rescue with a lovebird and another budgie female but hated them both and sat in the corner away from them.

            The rescue is also a songbird rehab we work with (bird of prey rehabber is what i do). When I was given her old cage I offered to take in a budgie or lovebird and she was "do you want an untame, very unhappy one? she needs a place to be happy" so I took her before even meeting her and it's been 7/8 months and I promised her day one even if she never warms up to me she'll have a happy home and she behaves like she enjoys her life.

    oh man, the only bird I transferred from one cage to another had such trouble... took a while to get used to his new home.

    but after enough time he became my favorite bird I've ever had ;u;
