A fierce and intelligent warrior, Novia Karjag is the leader of a troupe of mercenaries, the Cinderkin Legion. Her bloodline originates from the desert dwelling Lamuranians, or rather those who immigrated to a more temperate climate. These nomads eventually began to merge their culture with that of the southern denizens of Corranweigh. Novia's light armor reflects this as it blends both Lamuranian and Corranweigh features. As a mercenary, she and her troops have gained much recognition as deadly professional warriors.

When King Nassix of East Sarulia calls upon soldiers of fortune across land and sea to increase his numbers, she accepts it and marches her entire legion in his service. The coin from her contract with the king is most favorable, yet she doesn't entirely trust him. She's often extremely quiet and reclusive, preferring to stay to herself, but she is loyal to her comrades in arms.
