Recently I had an idea to make a character outside of the parent dragons that serves as a teacher/mentor-type character, and works well as a secondary character to little dragon in all the headspace music videos I have going in my head. So I threw the archetype of characters like Abraham van Helsing (is the Dracula references in name and design obvious? lol), Jackknife Dragon (see eyes and mouth), Angoramon, Hero from Omori, etc. So, this is the result.

Brom is a dragon that defies a short description. He's a teacher, a mentor, a researcher, a freedom fighter, a swordsman, a magician, a vampire hunter (or defender? more on that later), a space-dragon, an assassin, he is a flexible jack of all trades even if he's a master of none. Born on the same continent where Ash grew up, he is the descendant of a long line of people that have had dealings with vampires, some positive and some negative. Both the hat and the pendant come from his family; the hat was a birthday gift from his sister when he was a teenager that he still wears to this day, and the pendant is a passed-down heirloom from all the way back when the family lived on Earth. He has long black hair to his neck, he usually wears his hat but doesn't mind going out without it as long as he knows it's safe.

Eventually, his country fell into a coup when Ash's brother Zaun took over after his father died to shock, and being a historically rival family, Brom's family was one of the first victims. So he took the heirloom and fled the country, being on the run for a while until he was taken in by a guild that helps the poor, downtrodden, people affected by war and famine, and even fights those who cause such war and famine and misery. Over the many years he trained in many different disciplines, on many different continents, even trained in such a way he has different forms when fighting; his training even was such that he's learned to survive and thrive even in space and on different planets.

Where does he and little dragon come in? Well, Ash, while estranged from the rest of that family, comes from a long line of dragons that have vampiric forms that could either wreak havoc on or save the world depending on whether or not they can control it, and the source of such vampire legends inside and outside the dragon's world. I won't say whether it will manifest in Ash or in little dragon, but eventually Brom takes a side job at the school and research area where they live, because he wants to make sure that if it does, he wants to be sure that little dragon will eventually control it, or defeat him if he fails to (but the little dragon has the potential to learn other battle forms just as Brom did). At the moment, however, in canon if he's not too busy, you might see him at the preschool/kindergarten wing of the school as an assistant, helping out there and helping out the kids there, and this is where he and little dragon get to know each other and he serves as a kind of mentor and cool adult figure who knows a lot of stuff on his research and adventures, with lots of stories. In my headspace music videos he's a secondary character in those, and he and little dragon go on missions to go on the same kind of training he did long ago, but he makes sure to have plenty of moments where little dragon can be a little dragon.

Pardon the infodump, but that's basically the gist of it. Maybe in a later date I'll flesh him out a little more, and maybe more characters around him, and the world of little dragon. Finding time to draw or feel like drawing willing, look forward to it and others!
