And here is the dad of the little dragon, his name is Ashlar, but call him Ash for short.

I've thought of him in some form for much of the time since I came up with the little dragon, but my idea for him had changed over time. At first he would be the main villain of whatever story I'd make up with all my characters, but over time I thought...no. Let's dial it back a bit, keep him and Mom together, make him a soft yet strong friend, and the original idea for the villain transferred to his brother Zaun (working name). I thought that him being a soft friend would be fun to explore, and would work better in the setting I want to go for and lighten up the backstory some more.

Anyway a short description. Estranged from a brutal aristocratic family, he took up some odd jobs to survive and put on various hats on the way to the home life he enjoys today. Mainly he likes to draw stuff, but has also worked as a designer, ren-faire performer, DJ, singer, and art director. He is a little shy and soft-spoken, but if you let him open up to you he will talk for hours about these things and how he finds the beauty in nature and life. These days he can be found at home with his wife Kaori and son Masakuni, but he does travel out from time to time to put on one of his many hats. Although he hopes that his estranged brother, who had since he left led a takeover of his home country, doesn't come for him and take revenge; hopefully that is not something he has to deal with anytime soon.

Anyway hope you enjoy. At some point I would like to compile him and other characters I may or may not make into an adventure series or slice-of-life, but this may be a long time coming, who knows what will come of this? Anyway, enjoy!
