One day, in a coffee shop in Trottingham. Outcast magician Tracey Trix met with local DJ and witch doctor, Arocez Zephyr. They recognized eachother from a random encounter on the streets of Ponyville. Tracey briefly told of the misfortune he experienced from that time on and how he still felt terrible for the way he acted toward the population of Ponyville. Arocez offered consolation and support to the broken wizard before him and quickly changed the subject. Turns out that both of them had a love of love towards old blues and soul music and for artistic crime movies. Tracey mentioned as a by the way that he has a guitar in his motorhome and Arocez said that he works as a night time DJ in clubs. Arocez invited Tracey to his home and both started messing around with sampling of blues and soul tracks and various riffs by Tracey. The final nail in the coffin was when Arocez improvised some lyrics to said songs and sang them. They both realized they have some untapped potential here.

After searching for musicians high and low they quickly recruited Gil Griffon, a fellow misfit of society to play drums and Sean Glare on bass.

The members all shared their life stories with eachother and realized they all carry some guilt with them and thus decided to call the band The Burden.
