Let It FlowArt, regardless of medium, is a conversion. A direct conversion of
passion into a tangible form. This form can be anything - visual
artworks, music, dance, anything. I am convinced that all truly great
works of art have had immense passion fueling their creation. No artist
truly works well without a muse - inspiration. A muse is the artist's
conversion tool - a tool to bring these feelings and urges to bear like
the artist's tools themselves. The muse provides focus. Clarity. The
vision of what could be, waiting to flow from the artist's fingertips
like the magic that it truly is.
A muse must itself be fueled to do its work. What is a muse's fuel?
Life. Movement. Joy. Love. A grand visage. Anything that fills the soul
with more passion - even others' artistic works! That is why it is
important for an artist of any type to immerse themselves in the works
of others. We artists fuel and feed off each other - the works of one
musician may spark the passions and artistic power of a painter to
create. This is no coincidence. It is as if the passion used to create
these works of art or music returns to its original form, passing
directly into the mind of another artist who sees or hears it - and who
may have a completely different vision for this energy! This cycle
should be without end. Artists should draw and paint. Singers should
sing. Musicians should play. The power should flow freely between minds
and be used to its full extent. The muse should always be allowed to do
its work when the power comes - otherwise the energy, and the
inspiration, can often be lost forever.
Art ties lives together with threads that are often invisible even to
those who create the works. We are all human, and we all are brought
together by common passions and inspirations - whether we know it or
not. We inspire each other, and give each other strength. This power is
the heartbeat of the human spirit. These inspirations, this energy - let
it flow.
