Symbol Ref 2014

LTSmiley

Final of the main characters for the comic series. Once again, I have to keep a lot of it vague so as to not ruin the comic, but here is their leader--Symbol c=

Invader Name: Symbol

Official Name: Spli O’eckezeI

Height: 5’7’’

Technical Gender: Male

Species: Qwuedeviv Mutant (Environmental)

Official Skill: Demolitions Commander

Rank: Master Sergeant

Appearance: Symbol is half mint green and half deep purple. The two colors split right down the center. Its left being mint green and its right being deep purple. Its tail looks more like a Tuulimede’s; long and flat. The underside is covered in small tentacles similar to those sea anemones possess. These small growths also line the back of its right leg; grow along the outer line of its right arm, down its back and in its right ear. The weight of the ones in its right ear weigh it down permanently. It also has a few on the back of its left leg. Several sharp symbols line its right half, while the mint green color is void of any real markings. Its mint green shoulder has several long skin tags/skin flaps. The sclera of its eyes is black with purple pupils. Its left hand bears a branding mark of the Tuulimede. Its various little bright green tentacles are capable of glowing lightly as well.

Symbol’s outfit is highly customized to suit the Qwuedeviv’s personal needs. Its shirt is a sleeveless, dark blue modified tank top with several slits in the back to allow for its small tentacles. It wears the half cape that is commonly seen amongst officers; however the color and patterns on it are not of any local species’ military specs. Its pants are snug fitting with several cuts in them to allow for the small tentacles. It wears no shoes.

Personality: Symbol is ridiculously quiet. It spends a lot of time pondering and planning. From an observer’s glance, it would seem sort of cold and overly serious. It is a very professional Qwuedeviv who is currently struggling from a bit of a defeated feel. After all it was lost on Tuul for a long time and was given anything but a warm welcome when it returned. Feeling as though its career and future have been snatched from its grasp, it carries on, leading its new squad of rejects as best it can. On the positive side, Symbol takes into account all of its squad’s questions and concerns, even if the answer will ultimately not be what they want. It does have a sense of humor, but one will be hard pressed to make it do anything more than grin. Symbol is incredibly professional, and generally respectful of others.

Background:

Symbol was one of many Qwuedeviv who were in the invasion forces in the battle of Tuul. At the time it was in charge of several demolition teams that were setting charges in different tunnels to blockade off varying routes. However when chaos broke out and the Qwuedeviv begin losing their ways amongst the tunnels, orders were being thrown around, some correct, others inaccurate from terrified Qwuedeviv. Symbol lost control of those beneath its command when they all started scattering, leaving jobs unfinished and forcing other Qwuedeviv down random tunnels in their desperate attempt to flee. Symbol got separated from some of the others when one of the tunnels collapsed, blocking its path.

It became stranded and wandered for quite some time with the rations it had come there with and had to single handedly learn to hunt for some of the food sources the Tuulimede used. Although disgusting as far as it was concerned, and a bit hard to deal with in its somewhat injured state, it managed to survive, also having found a flowing water source. It wandered around in tunnels that the Tuulimede had abandoned whilst working on the repair of others for several months. When the Tuulimede finally found the Qwuedeviv it was horribly thin and notably strange looking—its environment had greatly changed its appearance. After a short stand off and a fight that it quickly lost, Symbol was taken back to the Tuulimede leaders. For a short time it was imprisoned as they tried to decide what to do with it.

The original plan was to send it back to Qwuedanjj as they had done the others, since they weren’t on talking terms with the Qwuedeviv. However Symbol pleaded on its behalf to be sent back to Qwuh-9 where it belonged. Eventually deciding that the prisoner deserved fair treatment—in disregard to several of the military personnel’s opinions—Symbol was given approval to be escorted back to its home…but not without some kind of compromise.
After a series of events and complications it eventually ended up back on Qwuh-9 where it was informed it would be leading a mismatch group to go infiltrate Jala Tuur'ga labs--a highly dangerous set of missions for any Qwuedeviv. This is essentially considered a suicide mission in some regard; as they may or may not be able to achieve it, but even if they do, they will just repeating more under similar circumstances in the same location. Thus, this is what Symbol and the rest of the squad have to look forward to for the rest of their lives.

Random Facts:

Symbol’s right eye has a mutated shape. Its eye is always nothing more than a slit on that side, permanently damaged so that it no longer corresponds to the levels of light.

Symbol’s hand has been branded with the Tuulimede symbol.

It was given the new name of Symbol when it returned to Qwuh-9’s central base due to the strange Tuulimede wall symbols its body had mimicked.

Symbol’s fur bears a common color mutation causes by consistent exposure to extreme differences in lighting.

Seeing as a Qwuedeviv having a Tuulimede mark is considered disgraceful, it keeps its hand wrapped at almost all times. This is secondarily because it's also still sore.
