Chance Whitefang is one of my favorite characters, but I didn't draw him very much in 2013.

I went with a minimal background (just some building silhouettes) and minimal shading to give the impression that he is running home at nightfall. Part of the fun is that I don't show what's in the bag so it's up to the viewer's imagination. He could have forgotten a birthday or anniversary and had to hurry to get a gift, or maybe he missed something on the shopping list and wants to get it home before the missus starts bitching at him!
