Blaster Rifle by LordDominic

Blaster Rifle

Another generic blaster rifle design based on playing around with shapes and aesthetics, this time I was going for something a bit more "primitive" or "old-fashioned" with a "heavier" look than something like a Lightbearer Dominion LR660 Battle Rifle, the sort of thing you'd see in the hands of bandits, pirates, mercenaries, and random civilians, smaller/private security forces, and small militias. Old-fashioned, arguably outdated, but still entirely useable and effective.

I didn't design this one with any particular faction, planet, or race in mind, instead going for something that was likely manufactured by some interstellar corporation or faction and distributed widely throughout the galaxy, or at the very least contracted with any space-faring faction that needed blaster weaponry but lacked the technology and/or resources and/or time to construct such weapons (or lacked the necessary political connections and/or legitimacy to acquire weapons from a faction such as the Lightbearer Dominion or Cygnian Federation, or Ayalatan Alliance).

On the one hand, it looks a bit too old-fashioned and outdated and clunky to be something mass-produced for galaxy-wide distribution and probably belongs to a specific smaller faction or individual species. After rereading a friend's short fanfic based off some aspects of my universe and our discussions about his further ideas, I considered this may actually work quite well as a Gaazalaan weapon because it sounds like slender space gazelle might actually need heavy, powerful blaster weapons capable of punching holes through brutish, savage pack hunters, although I always imagined Gaazalaan weaponry as being fairly slender and streamlined, and possibly some sort of railguns or phasers rather than blasters.
I also considered such a weapon might be used by a moderately advanced space-faring race such as the Kawkalla, the Lutraca, or the Almaki, while the aesthetics also make it a good fit for the Wallakarra

On the other hand it seems like it could very well be described as an "interstellar AK-47", with something like a billion units constructed centuries ago and hundreds of millions of them still circulating and seeing service galaxy-wide.
