Nick Domnall and the Critter Curse

LordDominic

One of those "creative itch" ideas I've had for a while, turning Nick Domnall into a critter. He seems to have gotten the shortest straw when it comes to transformation--Dominic Wolff transforms into a horned hellhound, Teresa Coyatawne gets to turn into a were-coyote, Dominic Mephitto gets to transform into a horned skunk monster, even a less relevant character like Badger Roland can change into a roid-rage badger monster, but Nick Domnall gets to turn into a literal trash bandit...

Not exactly sure how he'd find himself turned into a critter, probably some cliche "found a cursed artifact while rummaging through the trash" thing, but I feel like in his critter form he'd still fit in quite well with Damijan, Tino, and Phoenix despite likely lacking any sort of magical abilities outside of being a talking raccoon that needs glasses.

Can I tag/categorize this sort of thing as "transformation" if the transformation is merely implied and not depicted? Probably not.

I know Trash Pander has a terrible reputation but they are amazing, athletic and agile climbers, could turn out to be the unexpected super power that saves the day.

This is something I actually decided on while drawing this one back in September, that this would give Nick some unexpectedly useful advantages in the stealth and infiltration department--even if he does somehow get spotted, nobody is going to do much to a raccoon besides maybe record it on their phones or watch it or try to chase it away, definitely won't be triggering any security alarms (and if he does, again, it's a raccoon and not anything that warrants security's attention for long).
Meaning, even if he's caught, he can still be a good distraction for the rest of the squad!

Nick is already fairly handy technically so he'd make a decent spy or saboteur, especially if he can stash some useful tools and gadgets (and/or bombs or hand grenades) in a little satchel or something. The idea of him trying to use some sort of machine pistol but having to hold it like a rifle or submachine gun is kinda fun too, but I'm not sure if Nick is willing to commit actual murder in either his dorky demihuman manchild OR critter form...
(I've also realized this sorta implies that any sort of B-Team "action hero squad" shenanigans Mephitto's Misfits get into is probably technically terrorism, oof...)

I've also been considering giving him electricity powers, which he would gain in an unfortunate accident when actually trying to make the best of his critter form but touching something high voltage by mistake--but instead of becoming a crispy critter, he gains some level of electrokinesis (which, being an unlucky nerd, he probably discovers by accidentally frying his PC or phone).

Unfortunately, when he transforms, his clothes no longer fit, so if he turns back into a demihuman he'll be naked. There will be at least a couple awkward scenes of him either having to steal the first available clothes he can fit in, Skunk Boy awkwardly handing him his shorts back while trying not to look, or him awkwardly carrying his shorts with him while in Critter Mode.

Might need to loose a few pounds first
