The first Friday of every June is National Doughnut Day and Hari, the chubby panda that runs the corner store and bakes the pastries sold there, is ready to celebrate!

National Doughnut Day is a thing I found out about a few years back, and ever since, I've tried to draw a cheerful critter enjoying a doughnut for the day. It is celebrated on the first Friday of June.

If you're aware of any similar "holidays" that I might enjoy drawing something for, please let me know in the comments! For example, I recently learned that "International Red Panda Day" is the third Saturday in September, and I have panda characters that this provides an excellent excuse to draw, but I know that the furry fandom in particular seems to have quite a few unofficial holidays I don't know about until days, weeks, or even months after the fact.
