Cerise Humboldt by LordDominic

Cerise Humboldt

Since drawing portraits of older and under-utilized characters was something I was using as a bit of a "comfort subject"/practice for getting back into art, here's more portrait cuteposting, this time featuring Cerise Humboldt, a striped skunk character I draw on occasion.

Cerise is the wife of computer programmer (and general IT/tech support guy) Aldo Humboldt, and little Molina's mother. Aside from her relationship to other characters, however, I haven't really established much about her personality, profession, or other aspects of her character outside of her being an outdoorsy type, and working as a secretary.
Cerise met Aldo during one of his numerous visits to her office to do tech support.

I'm sure I've mentioned it offhand somewhere in the past, but Cerise's maiden name is Mephitto, meaning she's related to Skunk Boy. However, I've never determined just how closely related the two are, although it's likely they are cousins as they are both a similar age but have few other characteristics in common aside from their name, eye color, and mephitine heiritage.

Random world-building note: Much like how in reality "Smith" and "Johnson" are very common surnames for humans, there are a few surnames that are commonplace for certain species in my own universe and on Demeter in particular. These names tend to be associated with the character's species, but not always.

For example, "Reynard" is the most common surname of foxes, while "Duncan" and "Hawthorne" are the most common surnames for donkeys and "Donner" is a very common surname for cervids. "Mephitto" is a somewhat common surname for mephitine characters, although by counting my total number of named skunk characters, "Humboldt" is actually the most common surname I use.
