More Worldbuilding Wednesday stuff, this time featuring a Cygnian Starfighter.

The main starfighter utilized by the Jeroban, and by extension, the rest of the Cygnian Federation's Star Force, this multi-role fighter bares a slight resemblance to the Cygnus beast native to the Jeroban homeworld, Danajarba.
For this one, I decided to take a more conventional approach to its design as opposed to the previous designs for Cygnian Starfighters that were more car-like in appearance.
Armed with twin heavy repeating pulse cannons and twin concussion missile launchers, and equipped with powerful deflector shields and a warpdrive, these main-line fighters are capable of filling multiple roles but are typically used as superiority fighters, their power and maneuverability making them ideal for dogfighting as well as giving them enough firepower to engage larger vessels. Some examples are further modified with bomb bays and/or torpedo launch rails, making them useful as small bombers.
Most of my Jeroban/Cygnian spacecraft visually resemble cars and trucks to a degree, with the in-universe reason I give being that the sudden need for starfighters during the fledgling Cygnian Federation's conflict with the Lightbearer Dominion resulted in the modification of aerocars into light starfighters to churn out massive numbers of fighters and small troop transports very quickly (and which would also likely be familiar enough to most newly-recruited combat pilots to not necessitate a lot of training to become proficient pilots with such vehicles). After hostilities subsided, the aerocar manufacturers simply continued to produce non-weaponized variants of these concepts, resulting in small spacecraft like the Vega V-Series Light Transport becoming commonplace throughout Federation space.
