Devilish Dominic by LordDominic

Devilish Dominic

It's been a while since I've drawn Dominic Wolff in a way that's more in line with his canon personality and characterization... While I have a bit of fun drawing him in non-canon situations involving humiliation and bondage, the reason that's fun is because canonically, he's very much a classic action hero--strong, powerful, dominant, competent, with a bit of a dark side to him.

Dominic Wolff is arguably my first "original character", dating back a few decades at this point, and an amalgamation of all the things I thought were "cool" in my childhood, teen, and young adult years, refined a bit once I gained a better understanding of how to design more balanced and nuanced characters. He's very much a cliche action hero like the ones in movies and TV shows of the late 20th century, with some influences from anime, video games, and even Star Wars.
For the longest time he was exclusively portrayed as a human, and even now his humanoid form is his "default" state, but as time progressed he became a character capable of transforming into the Great Horned Hellhound I typically depict him as nowadays because it's more fun (and, oddly, much easier) to draw than his human form... it's also fun to explore various reasons why he might not just remain in a clearly superior beast form at all times, like how a Lucifer Beast stands out even in a world populated by anthropomorphic animals or how those horns would make it difficult to operate standard vehicles without being hunched over the steering wheel in a rather uncomfortable position.

While this results in a character that's very much a "wish fulfillment" and "power fantasy" character, bordering on a Mary Sue at times (especially earlier in his career), I think that sort of character can still be valid and interesting if handled correctly--a lot of his previous exploits are now the stuff of in-universe legend, perhaps exaggerated a bit by those who were there and Wolff himself never correcting those exaggerations, and he's a good excuse to explore all aspects of the "action hero" archetype, not just the ones highlighted in movies and TV.

In fact, that "the hero gets the girl at the end" trope is why, despite having a wife and son, he has at least one illegitimate child out there from a one-night stand with a lady he encountered during one of his many, many adventures... Those flings happened before he found a badass action heroine to settle down with, of course, but that doesn't mean Dominic Wolff having repeat appearances on Maury would be outside the realm of possibility, as he has an exceptionally high body count both on the battlefield and in the bedroom.

That's a lot of lore to dump in the description of Dominic Wolff in his Lucifer Form posing in his underwear in a suggestive and confident manner...
