Djamil, the Fat Cat Space Pirate by LordDominic

Djamil, the Fat Cat Space Pirate

LordDominic

It's Fat Feline Friday, and it looks like that dirty ol' fat cat space pirate Djamil is up to something... But is he sneaking, or is he trying to draw attention to a certain asset of his?

Djamil is another one of those characters I designed for Alternate Fursona Experimentation Time a while back, just in case I wanted to play with/as a fat bisexual space pirate, but he seems to be developing into his own independent character the more I draw him (which, by the way, I think of as a good thing).

An oddly suave and well-spoken Kurakalak pirate from the outer edges of Cygnian Federation space, Djamil seems to be oddly well-liked for a pirate, but that might have to do more with his favored targets being cargo vessels owned and operated by various private interplanetary corporations--such corporations tend to be pretty universally reviled, giving Djamil something of "folk hero" status as even if his raids are unsuccessful, he's at least hurting the bottom line of some unscrupulous corporate entity exploiting the resources of the galaxy for pure profit.

While I have yet to draw them, I have decided that his main ship is an old, up-gunned Jeroban Starfreighter and his favored personal craft is actually an equally old (and heavily modified) Lightbearer Dominion cargo shuttle converted into a gunship with the addition of hidden weapons, much like bounty hunter Wassa Rydaar's gunship.
