Figured one way to maybe get back into drawing would be to simply do some cute portraits--while they aren't the most interesting to my audience, I enjoy drawing them, and that's what's truly important.
I also thought spending some time with characters I don't do much with might be a good way to get motivated, as part of my burnout probably had to do with drawing the same few characters and themes over and over again.
So, I decided to pay a little more attention to my hyena son Koura Wolff, a character I have always felt had the potential to be interesting, and would probably be very important as part of some sort of "The Next Generation" type storyline, but I have never done much with.
I wasn't super happy with the way I drew Koura's face, and specifically his ears, the last time I drew him (almost a year ago) so I decided to try again.
