Pandora Sophia by LordDominic

Reviving another long-forgotten character concept here... Pandora Sophia, the Owl Sorceress. A clairvoyant with a magic eye capable of seeing energy fields and focusing said energy into beams and shields, Pandora is a powerful magic user. She's friends with Jacques Duncan and the ever-awkward Skunk Boy, (eventually) romantically involved with Moffatt Crowe, and works as a special operative for ShadowHyena Tactical... and uses her psychic abilities to pick winning lottery numbers, although she's smart enough not to go for the jackpot, instead consistently just going for enough money to get by on for a couple weeks at a time as not to draw too much attention to herself or her abilities.
Oh, and she cheats at card games, too.

Her design has gone through some minor revisions over the years, but I've just sort of struggled to make avian races fit into any of my worlds, especially the already over-crowded Demeter, where she resides. Her, Moffatt Crowe, and a few others of this race have fallen out of use entirely over the years, to the point where I considered just removing them from canon altogether.

Now, though, I've decided to give her the "monster bird" treatment, and I can just play the "her race is alien" card again... Her kind tend to remain hidden, living in small groups deep in the forests and in remote areas not easily accessed without the ability to fly, and enjoying borderline "cryptid" or "urban legend" status as a result. I have considered tying her kind into whatever passes for my universe's version of the "Mothman" legend in the past, but now, I'm 100% committed to the idea that one of these creatures would be the genesis of such a story in-universe.

This redesign makes her a bit uglier than she was before, but I think it's that kind of "ugly" that actually makes her weirdly cute, like hyenas, opossums, and some monsters.

However, even with clairvoyant abilities, it seems she wasn't expecting company to show up before she got dressed...
