Here's another one from the "long abandoned/forgotten character designs" department... a skeletal/undead hyena monster. No, his canon name isn't "Mr. Bones" but titles are a requirement.
I let slip to a friend I was talking to that back in 2004/2005, I had a design for a skeletal hyena monster as part of the Geoterra Project, which I drew exactly three times. He seemed very interested, but I didn't feel like any of the art of it I had was even remotely good enough to share, so I decided to take a crack at updating the design instead.
Not really much to say about this one, mostly because it's a design I haven't touched in 15 years. It's an undead hyena zombie creature, mostly skeletal, held together by dark magic or something, still has some internal organs left in a semi-mummified state but I don't know if they do much. It's a "feral" (quadruped for the not-furries out there), not an "anthro".
The original design had a bit of fur and flesh remaining on the chest but I decided to forgo that here (although if I do draw this race again I might leave some other bits and pieces of flesh on them). I did leave the scalp on there though so it could still have ears and a mane, which I do consider essential features.
They're not entirely mindless like zombies and are probably intelligent enough to be considered "sapient", I do seem to remember them actually functioning a lot like their not-skeletal counterparts aside from not speaking and using dark magic in their attacks, and their "normal" pack-mates and even the cubs were totally unphased by their presence and appearance. I guess being magical fighting monster hyenas changes your perception and interpretation of things a bit.
Oh, by the way, I have absolutely NO idea how to draw skeletons lmao

I actually had to look that one up, and now I do see a bit of a resemblance! Must be the combination of pale (or in this guy's case, skeletal) face, long hair, and guts!
That makes me want to play with monster designs a bit more. I draw the occasional zombie or undead monster, but I rarely draw ghosts, spirits and more "spectral" entities, that might be worth trying sometime!

For some reason, the thai ghost Krasue comes to mind.
