Something from late 2019 that started off as something a little different, but wound up being the first time I've drawn a male Starfarer instead.

For the first time in a long time, I've decided to draw a scene from the surface of Jovus-7, a moon orbiting a gas giant. The moon was colonized roughly 1000 years ago (I have yet to pin down an exact canon timeframe) by a small nomadic group of Starfarers, who set up a city in a large crater on the moon's surface. Over time, they expanded out from the main city, and now a handful of smaller sub-cities exist closer to the edges of the crater, housing various industrial structures.

The crater city is protected by a magnetic forcefield, which filters out radiation and also keeps the atmosphere at the necessary levels to be breathable and provide sufficient air pressure for them to venture outside without any sort of protective gear or breathing equipment. The temperatures are a bit chilly, but nothing that the typical jumpsuit the race is fond of wearing can't handle with ease.

Despite being the origin of the whole "Starfarer" concept, I never did give too much development to this moon in particular--I based the concept on the real-world Jovian moons and how some scientists believe they could sustain life. It's a generic rocky moon with reserves of water ice and a very thin atmosphere, one that with a bit of terraforming has provided a safe haven for a race of space deer to call home.
