More development of alien races and their worlds from late 2019, here is the art of the other sapient race of Alamak, the Karukalak.

The Karukalak are vaguely caracal-like creatures, native to the scrublands and savannas of the northern hemisphere of Alamak. Like their cousins, the Almaki, their cities and villages usually sprung up around the various oases and lakes and seas dotting the planet's surface. And, much like their cousins to the south, the arrival of the Jeroban led to a very rapid evolution of their civilization as they quickly adopted the new, advanced offworlder technology.

This unnamed Karukalak female is wandering the rocky scrublands, perhaps foraging for food, gathering firewood from the dry, stocky shrubs that dot the landscape, or just getting some exercise as a modern city looms on the horizon. I have yet to establish much about this race, although I can say that their relations with the Almaki are overall favorable, and the species do coexist peacefully in some areas, and it's not uncommon for them to even marry and have children together.

This race's design is actually a repurposed/revised one-off design of mine from 2018, which was just a random creature design that a friend commented resembled a caracal. However, I never did really find a use for her or her design until this point.
