So some of you who have followed me for a long time might remember a picture I did of a red Chinese dragon a year ago. It was one of the very first images I uploaded online.

Anyways, that dragon was very symbolic for me, since it marked the moment that I realized I wanted to pursue my childhood dream of being a cartoonist and animator. A dream which I had let go for many years.

Recently, I've felt very down about my artwork and I needed a pick me up. So I decided to re-draw the dragon from that time, in order to gauge my improvement over the course of a year.

So here he is. A character which I am now going to be referring to as The Annual Dragon. I've decided to draw him once every year to measure my progress. It'll be a fun annual tradition.
