Hate and sorrows,

Nightmares and mirages.

Filled with people who are not what they seem,

Steal from the good,

Take from the needy,

Betray you on your journey.

Every step seems to get darker,

It seems as if the whole world is against you,

Few make it though,

You think about joining them.

But remember child,

With every step though the darkness

Every hate and lie,

When everything seems to be crashing down,

Think of the reward.

Everything lost is worth it in the end,

For happiness is the greatest achievement,

And only those who persevere will gain its gift.

You can make it to happiness if you try.
