Busying herself with the latest client requests, Lucy carefully considered her response to the latest trivial changes that would only be undone in the next revision, when the project was to be done in two weeks! She groaned as now they wanted a new font, to redo the graphics on the front page, and no longer liked the slogan they had insisted upon a week ago.

Kate had dropped in for lunch, and the rattlesnake sat in her guest chair until she could lure the wolfess away from her desk for a bite to eat. She played with her hair, crossed her legs, and shot Lucy teasing glances whenever the wolfess looked up.

"Just another minute, I promise."

"You said that ten minutes ago. Come on, I'm getting hungry!" Kate whined petulantly, of course Lucy knew she was only playing it up.

Lucy shook her head. "I have to get this done if you want to make rent this month."

"Oh, please, you know they'll just ask for you to put it back the way it is now in a few days. Now I'm going to give you an ultimatum. Either you stop what you're doing and come to lunch with me right now, or I'm going to parade around here naked until you either take me, or take me out to lunch." Kate fiddled with her necklace, looking Lucy in the eye.

Lucy narrowed her eyes. "You wouldn't."

"Lucy, ever since we met, and the first night you shared my apartment I paraded around naked, has there ever been anything I wouldn't do?" Kate pulled her shirt away from her chest just enough to show she was not wearing a bra. "You really want to play chicken with me?"

The wolfess looked at the door, which Kate locked behind her back.

"So, what is it going to be?"

Lucy looked at the time on her computer. She had an hour for lunch, and food would only really take twenty minutes...
