The spell had taken effect on their sleeping babysitter. She had turned into a living stuffed animal. Lauren giggled as the spell had worked, and she was tempted to climb into the bed and cuddle Xav, but Toya reminded her they had a mission.

"We've got to get the cookies," he said. Insisting that they go right away, he tugged her into the kitchen. The cookies were stored on a tall shelf, at which neither could reach on their own. Lauren went and pulled a stool over towards the counter and climbed on top of it. Toya balaned on her shoulders as he got the cabinet open and saw their prize. The cookie jar was sitting there calling the youngsters. Coffee grins and a few cans of vegetables fell to the kitchen floor as Toya tried to balance himself.

Lauren held her teddy in her right hand, and froze as she heard a sound from the hall. Toya gleefully got his hands around the cookie jar and clutched it to his chest as he heard their babysitter call out their names.

"Toya! Lauren!" Wobbling in on legs filled with stuffing and no knees to bend, Xaviera threw out her paws to catch the youngsters. She caught Toya and the cookie jar just in time, landing on her soft frame on the floor. "What were you two thinking?"

"We're sorry." Lauren said, looking down at the floor.

Xaviera looked at Toya. "You two had better turn me back before your parents get here."

Lauren hugged her teddy. "It wears off in a few hours..."

Xaviera cuddled them both towards her. "You two are a handful!"
