Despite her best attempts to resist their influence, the voices kept growing louder in her mind. "You will be our new ruler. You will bring others of your world to us... You know others who you can share your gift..." She had become more insect than equine. Her body had grown thin gossamer wings that felt like they had always belonged there. Her antennae told her that her hive was depending on her and where to find nearby sources of nourishment for them.

Her insectoid arms grew into place at her sides, and with the development of her abdomen and stinger she was a truly beautiful queen bee. Her face and arm stripes remained unchanged other than the mandibles and eyes that clearly displayed her new form. She would spread this condition to others and help her race procreate.

"No, I can't... I... Topaz would... Topas would love this... As would the others...." She flew off in search of her companions...
