A look at my road bike's shiny mechanical bits, consisting primarily of classic Shimano Dura-Ace 7400 components. Coyote Blue is only a couple of years younger than I am myself (the components about a decade younger), but he still rides like a dream!

I recently dragged an old bike out of the shed. It's covered in rust. I had to hammer the freewheel loose, break the chain off and take apart all the cabling to get the rust out and re-lubricate. The wheel bearings scrape angrily but I don't have the tool for them yet. I doubt it will last many more years! I'm amazed it's still able to work as it is.
