I took my vintage Nishiki road bike ("Coyote Blue") out for her first ride of 2017 the other day, and ended up at the pavilion at the top of Cincinnati's Ault Park. It was a bit overcast, but the weather was mild, and a lot of people were out enjoying the bizarrely warm February afternoon. I discovered that I could use a bit of re-conditioning, considering how out-of-shape I felt as I pushed my way up and down the hills on the east side. :P
I thoroughly enjoyed myself, at any rate. It was nice to get out and experience the day. My bikes help me to escape from digital space and reconnect with the real world better than anything else. Meanwhile, shortly after taking this photo, I saw a family of three adults and two kids walking through the park, all three adults with faces buried in their phones as they basically ignored the world around them...
